At Handy Hire, Ferrymead, we offer hire equipment for a range of different categories.

Please note all hire prices exclude any fuel charges - Diesel = $4.00, Petrol = $4.50, 2 Stroke = $5.00 ALL PER LITRE  - Subject to change without notice.

Half Day = 4 Hours

All Hirers need to have government issued I.D.  and pay a bond $50-$200 (amount is equipment dependent).

All of our hire equipment is to be picked up from our store in Ferrymead, Christchurch.  We have trailers available if the equipment is too big for your vehicle.

4.6TON TIP TRUCK - CLASS 2 LICENCE AND TSL REQUIRED - RATES ARE PLUS 40 CENTS PER/KM

This is a great little class 2 tipper that has a very tight turning circle with plenty of Horsepower, towbar and swing tailgate.
Can take up to 4.6T load.

You will need a Full class 2 licence to hire this vehicle. A TSL licence is also required and your TSL label will need to be displayed in the windscreen. For more info about a TSL visit

Please note there is a $200 deposit required on all trucks.
